In Destiny 2 a new puzzle has been solved in the Tower: Here’s how you find the Dance Party Key and the Loot-a-Palooza Key and start a Dance Party!
Since September 26, the faction leaders from the Dead Orbit, the Future War Cult, and the New Monarchy have been in the Tower of Destiny 2. However, they did not come alone – they brought a new puzzle that has to do with Dance Party Keys and Loot-a-Palooza Keys.
Near each faction leader, there is a device that says “Dance Party Key required.” In this picture, you see the device at the Dead Orbit. For orientation: Arach Jalaal is on the left. The terminal is directly behind him:
But how do you get a Dance Party Key? How do you start a Dance Party?
How to get the Dance Party Key – Step by Step Guide
The first step is the hardest: You must go into the Leviathan raid and get lucky.
- Defeat the final boss Calus. Among the loot you receive, there may be a Loot-a-Palooza Key. According to user reports, it is a random drop. There is no guarantee. As help, we have our raid guide for you here.
- Once you have the Loot-a-Palooza Key, fly to the Tower to the faction of your choice. Look for the terminal nearby that requires the Loot-a-Palooza Key.
For example, again the Dead Orbit: Run past Arach Jalaal and go up the stairs in front of you. This terminal is there:
- Now a kind of mini-game starts. You will receive a message that hidden chests are nearby. You must open these chests, which are sometimes difficult to reach. You need to climb and master “jump passes.” This mini-game is indicated by the “public event” symbol. The symbol will guide you to the chests. In the end, you will receive the Dance Party Key!
- Once the event is over, you can activate the device that says “Dance Party Key required.” A chest will spawn nearby and music will play. This chest can supposedly be looted by all guardians in the Tower – and they can also dance.
The rewards in the chest are, by the way, very meager. You only get Glimmer and maybe a blue item. But the real reward is the Dance Party that you can now celebrate. If you’re curious, this is what the Dance Party music sounds like:
