Since early February, there has been a new event “Empyrean Foundation” in Destiny 2, for which players are diligently donating and expecting a great reward. Now a community manager from Bungie has explained that players should not set their expectations too high.
About this event: Since February 4th, players can donate Fractaline in Destiny 2. The event extends over multiple phases and reached its final phase on February 19th.
Players are now supposed to donate 9.7 million Fractaline. They have calculated: This will take a full 10 years, spread across the entire community. They are expected to be achieved sometime tomorrow, on February 26th. You can check the current status on warmind.io .
This is what the community manager says: The community manager dmg04 addressed fan questions on Twitter. Originally, some players assumed that a secret mission would be unlocked as soon as the event ends.
However, that is apparently not the case. In his tweet, dmg04 states: “There will be no mission unlock tomorrow. To manage your expectations.”
Elaborate event with a small reward?
These rewards players will get: dmg04 also confirmed right away that some rewards will come. Players will receive them directly upon completing the event – not only after the time is up.
On one hand, you will receive a triumph needed for the title “Savior”. Many players only need this triumph for the title. On the other hand, there is a special shader. Both rewards are available immediately after the event ends.
This could still come: So far, there are no clues about what exactly Destiny 2 could still get. However, it is quite possible that an epic cutscene will conclude the event and the season.
Already at the reset last week, on February 18th, a fantastic cutscene was shown and the “Empyrean Foundation” event has now been the dominant feature in Destiny 2 for some time.
What is certain is that the event will kick off the new season 10. We do not know exactly when, but we estimate that new information will come by the end of the week or at the latest next Tuesday (March 2):
