In Destiny 2, new issues have arisen at the beginning of 2018. Bungie had to change the Nightfall strike.
Bungie employees are returning one by one from their winter holidays, and operations at the studio are resuming. Yesterday, on January 3rd, the first hotfix of 2018 was deployed, which made the Iron Banner and Faction Rally available again for all Guardians.
In the last few hours, Bungie has spoken multiple times via Twitter. Further issues have been discovered, which are now being investigated, and short-term solutions are being offered.
The Garden World has a bug
Since January 2nd, a strike from “Curse of Osiris” has been this week’s Nightfall strike: A Garden World.
However, several Guardians reported that this Nightfall does not grant Clan Engrams as rewards. In the last few hours, Bungie investigated the issue and was able to identify it.
The solution is that Bungie replaced the Nightfall with another strike. For the rest of the week, “The Twisted Tower” is the Nightfall. Here are the modifiers:
- Momentum: Health and shield regeneration stop when you are not moving. Sprint to accelerate regeneration.
- Time Warp: Rings: Pass through Vex portals to extend the mission timer.
If you have already completed the Nightfall in Garden World, you must master it again to receive the Clan rewards.
More known issues in 2018
Yesterday, two more issues arose:
- If you receive a message in-game that a Destiny update is coming, you can simply ignore it.
- Weapon Master Engrams currently do not grant shaders. The issue is being investigated.
Additionally, there are still some items on the list of critical known issues, such as
- Masterwork Cores are not sent to the post office when the inventory is full
- the Ikora waypoint is displayed incorrectly
- the Prometheus Lens still needs to be balanced
- and other known issues listed in the Bungie forum.
By the way: According to Community Manager DeeJ, next week they will address the promises Bungie made shortly before Christmas. Game Director Christopher Barrett announced updates to the Iron Banner, Faction Rally, Raids, Eververse, and the Vault.
