This is already known about the big showcase for “The Final Shape”:
- Bungie will reveal the name of the new Season 22 and show the first trailer.
- There will be information about the destination of “The Final Shape” and a preview of the new features.

- The new legacy raid, starting in Season 22 on September 1, will be introduced.
- The Guardians will likely get a first small glimpse into the future of Destiny 2 and find out how the loot shooter will continue in 2025.

Joe Blackburn will speak the last words again. He prepares the Guardians for this shared journey. Much will change, but the Guardians can only triumph together. This final journey of the Light and Darkness saga begins on February 27, 2024. And the pricing model will also remain unchanged.

Destiny 2 is fundamentally changing its season model. No more 4 seasons. Instead, episodes. Starting in 2024, they will replace the seasons as a new form of storytelling and as a format for content updates for Destiny 2.

Bungie’s livestream begins
Bungie has just started the PreShow. It nostalgically goes back to the beginnings in Destiny 1 and how the Guardians once awoke in the Cosmodrome.
The actual showcase begins at 18:00 and is expected to last about 45 minutes. And don’t forget about the Twitch drop. As explained further down in this article, we have explained how you can participate.
When does it start? The reveal event starts today at 18:00 German time. However, you can tune in as early as 17:00 and follow a small Destiny Pre-Show.
At 19:00, the starting signal for the new Season 22 will fall, in which the Guardians are supposed to stir up Savathun. Before that, however, you still need to endure a downtime.

How to get the showcase emblem: To be eligible, you must ensure that your Twitch account is linked to your Destiny 2 account.
- Go to bungie.net and log in with your details. Click on the icon in the top right corner and select the platform on which you play Destiny 2 and enter your details.
- After logging in, you can click on your profile settings. You can reach these through the player icon in the upper right corner. Go to settings to get to account settings.
- Under “Account Linking,” you will see all available platforms that you can link to your Bungie account. So Xbox, PlayStation, Epic, Steam, and Twitch.
