A new week begins in Destiny 2, which also means a new patch. Bungie is taking its servers down for update 8.0.0.6 to refresh its loot shooter a little bit. Here’s what you should know about the downtime.
Here’s what you need to know today: Bungie is once again taking its servers down for standard maintenance. This time, the Iron Banner is set to start again and draw its players into PvP. However, before you can wave the banner, a downtime must first be endured. You can find out how long this will last and what changes are occurring here.
Maintenance on 07/02 – All times for server downtime
These times are important today: Bungie informs its players via x.com (formerly Twitter) about the exact downtime. It is planned that the servers will be unreachable today for 3 hours and 15 minutes.
This is the schedule for maintenance:
- At 3:00 PM, background maintenance starts on all platforms.
- At around 3:45 PM, the servers go offline. Players will be automatically kicked from the game.
- At 7:00 PM, the shooter should be back online, and you can log back in.
- The maintenance will continue in the background until 9:00 PM.
Also, keep in mind that third-party applications as well as the official companion app may also be inaccessible for a while, meaning you cannot use them.
What changes with the new update in Episode: Echos
The following problems are known: There are also many issues in The Final Shape that players are complaining about. Bungie is aware of some of them, but it is not known which ones will be fixed (via bungie.net). However, the following bugs could be addressed:
- PC players who have 3D audio enabled cannot hear any sound
- The pop-up “Leaving for The Final Shape” has the wrong key art
- When prism hunters activate their new ultimate while swinging, they fall
- The hunter aspect that increases your Blade Barrage ultimate does not work
- The description of the Arc Staff ultimate of the hunter does not mention a blinding effect after a three-combo or slam attack

We will update our article and provide you with the link to the patch notes. Because it’s possible that the patch notes will change or be corrected by Bungie afterwards.
