A new week begins in Destiny 2 and that means a new patch as well. Bungie is taking down its servers for Update 8.0.0.5, refreshing its loot shooter a bit. Here’s what you should know about the downtime.
What you need to know today: Today, Bungie will remove its waves from raids and dungeons. The developers no longer want to limit you or dictate which classes and elements you should play with. Additionally, the Grandmaster version of the new raid “The Edge of Redemption” is to be released tonight. Was the raid too easy for you? Then you now have a chance for a challenge.
Maintenance on 25.06. – All times for server downtime
These times are important today: Bungie informs its players via x.com (formerly Twitter) about the exact downtimes. The servers are planned to be unreachable for 3 hours and 15 minutes.
This is what the maintenance schedule looks like:
- At 15:00, background maintenance begins on all platforms.
- At about 15:45, the servers will go offline. Players will be automatically kicked from the game.
- At 19:00, the shooter is expected to be back online, and you can log in again.
- The maintenance will continue in the background until 21:00.
Also, note that third-party applications and the official companion app may also not be accessible correctly for a while, so you may not be able to use them.
What changes with the new update in Episode: Echoes
The following issues are known: There are also many problems in The Final Shape that players are complaining about. Bungie has some of them on their radar, but it is not known which of them will be fixed (via bungie.net). However, the following bugs could be addressed:
- PC players who have 3D audio enabled cannot hear any sound
- The pop-up “Leaving for The Final Shape” has the wrong key art
- When prismatically enhanced hunters activate their new ultimate while gliding, they fall
- The hunter aspect that increases your blades of flame ultimate does not work
- The description of the arc staff ultimate for hunters does not mention a blinding effect after a three-combo or slam attack
