This week, the major 7.3.5 update is being released in Destiny 2. You can find out how long the update will take, what the downtime looks like, and what you need to know about the content here.
What you need to know today: Destiny 2 is undergoing maintenance today. This means the servers need to go offline, which means you won’t be able to play for a while. This will be a longer downtime that will be over in a few hours.

Maintenance on 05.03. – All times for server downtime
These times are important today: Bungie informs its players via x.com (formerly Twitter) about the exact downtime. The servers are planned to be offline for 3 hours and 15 minutes today.
This is the maintenance schedule:
- At 14:00, background maintenance will start on all platforms.
- At around 14:45, the servers will go offline. Players will be automatically kicked from the game.
- At 18:00, the shooter is expected to be online again and you can log back in.
- The maintenance will continue in the background until 20:00.
Also, keep in mind that third-party applications as well as the official companion app may also be unavailable for a while, so you can’t use them.
What changes with the new update in Season 23
The following issues are known: Even in the Season of the Wish, there are many issues players are complaining about. Bungie has noted some of them (via bungie.net), but it is not known which of them will be fixed. However, the following bugs could be addressed:
- Major changes regarding the sandbox for PvP are to be rolled out
- The activity finder is missing some options like adding Bungie friends
- Some legendary emotes are sorted with exotic emotes
- Veist rifles can only be partially rotated when inspected
- The shotgun “Mindbender’s Ambition” no longer glows when fired
- Some rocket launchers are no longer displayed when inspected
- Old artifacts are still displayed in players’ inventories
