Destiny 2 is offline today, on September 25th. The servers are going down and are not available. Bungie is performing maintenance, the update 1.0.3 with the version number 1.05 is being deployed. All information about the server maintenance.
Update 16:50: The update carries the version number 1.05 (PS4) and can already be downloaded. It is approximately 850 MB in size. On Xbox One, it has a size of 838.84MB.
Update 20:29: The maintenance has been extended until 23:00.
Update 22:12: The maintenance work is officially over. Destiny 2 should now work again on PS4 and Xbox One. What the patch brings exactly, we will cover in a later article.
Today, the announced maintenance for Destiny 2 is taking place. This will last several hours, so you will have to look for another pastime for your well-deserved evening.
The important times for today, September 25th:
- At 3 PM preparations for the maintenance begin. You can no longer log into Destiny 2.
- At 4 PM all players who are still in Destiny 2 will be removed from their activities. The servers will go offline.
- The end of the maintenance is planned for around 9 PM. However, it is common for Bungie that these times are never taken too literally. The servers may come online several hours earlier or later.
During the maintenance, the update 1.0.3 will be deployed. What new features and changes the update brings is still unknown. Bungie will release the patch notes only when the servers are live again. Update: Here are the patch notes.
Servers offline today – Two new features will start soon after the maintenance
The maintenance work today may fix a few of the known issues in Destiny 2 or prepare for two new features that will start tomorrow, September 26th:
- The Faction Rally begins – The faction leaders will gather the Guardians around them in the new tower for the first time. All information about the Faction Rally can be found here.
- The Guided Games will be expanded to the raid. You will then be able to play “Guided Games” not only in the Nightfall strike but also in the raid.
