Today, maintenance is taking place for Destiny 2. This may lead to minor restrictions. We have summarized the most important information for you.
Here’s what you should note today: As Bungie announced earlier today via Twitter, there will be all-day maintenance on the servers for Destiny 2 today. This began at 7:00 AM our time.
What does this concretely mean for players? An update is not planned for today. There is also no server downtime expected. These will remain online throughout, as long as everything goes according to plan. So you should be able to play normally – at least almost.
However, there may still be restrictions while playing, as Bungie itself and some Guardians have already noted. So it may happen that players are suddenly returned to the login screen.
Many players have already been affected by this – some even multiple times. So don’t be surprised if this happens to you today.
However, you should be able to log back in without problems and without further delays. If the “problem” occurs more frequently than expected, please contact Bungie Support.
Update not planned until next week: Although there are large-scale maintenance works on the backend today, an update is not expected until next week Tuesday, April 9.
Bungie has quite a bit in store there. With update 2.2.1, among other things
- the drop rates for rare cosmetics from the Dreaming City or from the Forsaken raid “Last Wish” will be increased
- the inventory of powerful weapon forms at Ada-1 will be improved
- The drop rate of the new Season 6 weapons in Gambit Prime and Reckoning will be increased
With the buff to the weapon drop rate, the path to the “Troublemaker” title should also be easier: Become the Troublemaker in Destiny 2 – Here’s how to get the new title for Season 6
