In Destiny 2, the Weekly Reset starts with a new patch for the loot shooter. What you should know about the downtime and upcoming content can be found here in our overview of the server down.
What you need to know today: After the disastrous events at Bungie, everyday life is slowly returning – a server down is expected this evening at the usual times. Some bugs are still causing problems in the loot shooter, but today might be the day of extermination.
Maintenance on August 6 – All times for the server down
These times are important today: Bungie informs its players via x.com (formerly Twitter) about the exact downtime. It is planned that the servers will be unreachable for 3 hours and 15 minutes today.
Here is the schedule for maintenance:
- The background maintenance starts at 3:00 PM on all platforms.
- The servers will go offline around 3:45 PM. Players will be automatically kicked from the game.
- The shooter is expected to be back online at 7:00 PM and you can log in again.
- The maintenance will continue in the background until 9:00 PM.
Also, be aware that third-party applications as well as the official companion app may also not be properly accessible for a while, so you cannot use them.
What changes with the new update in Echos: Act 2
The following problems are known: There are many issues in The Final Shape that players are complaining about. Bungie has noted some, but it is not known which ones will be fixed (via bungie.net). However, the following bugs could be addressed:
- For PC players with 3D audio enabled, the audio output in the game is not working.
- When class-specific exotic glaives are crafted, the error code “Weasel” appears.
- When playing on PlayStation with 3D audio enabled, the audio output does not work.
- The slam attack with infusion no longer shatters stasis crystals.
- Heat wave is not activated when gliding or in the middle of a jump.
- The diamond lance no longer shatters stasis crystals.
- The wish bearer title was revoked from players who had previously received it.
