In Destiny 2 the Weekly Reset starts with maintenance for the loot shooter. What you need to know about the downtime and upcoming content can be found here in our overview of the server downtime.
This is what you need to know today: Bungie has announced downtime for September 3rd for Destiny 1 & 2. As the announcement seems incomplete, players are already wondering whether the maintenance will only run in the background or if players will also be kicked from the servers.
The long maintenance could be there to activate or prepare Bungie’s ten-year anniversary for Destiny. We will be there at the start and accompany you during this downtime.
Maintenance on 03.09. – All times for the server downtime
These times are important today: Bungie informs its players about x.com (formerly Twitter) about the exact downtime. The servers are planned to be in maintenance for 8:00 hours today.
This is what the maintenance schedule looks like:
- Maintenance starts at 15:00 on all platforms.
- Maintenance is supposed to end at 23:00.
- Bungie has not communicated whether players will be kicked from the servers, but fans believe the developers may have forgotten this part.
Also, keep in mind that third-party applications as well as the official companion app may also not be functioning correctly for a while, preventing you from using them.
What changes with the new update in Echos: Act 3
The following problems are known: There are also many issues in The Final Shape that players are complaining about. Bungie has noted some, but it is not known which of them will be fixed (via bungie.net). However, the following bugs could be addressed:
- For PC players with enabled 3D audio, the audio output in the game is not working.
- When class-specific exotic glaives are crafted, the error code “Weasel” appears.
- When playing on PlayStation with enabled 3D audio, the audio output is not working.
- The slam attack with blessing no longer shatters Stasis crystals.
- The heat wave is not activated when gliding or mid-jump.
- The diamond spear no longer shatters Stasis crystals.
- The wish-bearer title was taken away from players who had previously received it.
