In Destiny 2 the Void Warlock will have a Nova Bomb and it looks like it will be homing. Here is gameplay from the PvP of Destiny 2. You can see a Void Warlock.
Tonight, IGN presented more videos on Destiny 2. On the US site, Bungie is showcasing new gameplay content for Destiny 2 – recently they talked about the vision for the title.
This time it’s all about the PvP in Destiny 2. We will be reporting in a series of articles about how the new Control plays and what the newly introduced map “Endless Vale” looks like.
Destiny 2: He has his Nova Bomb
But that can wait, much more important: the Void Warlock retains his Nova Bomb.
Because part of today’s Destiny 2 reveal was about the Warlock. There was uncertainty about whether the Void Warlock would keep his iconic super, the Nova Bomb, in Destiny 2. Some supers, like “Revive”, are being removed.
But the question is now answered. In a video, you can see a Nova Bomb flying for the first time. We already fast-forwarded to that moment:
Nova Bomb: Homing instead of Mass Destruction in Destiny 2
And surprise: The Nova Bomb in Destiny is homing. In the video, it even curves around corners and chases the enemy like a projectile from the rocket launcher “Truth.”.
Phew, many Nova Bomb fans will be relieved that they will keep their super.

However, a lot is changing now. Due to the shift in PvP from 6vs6 to 4vs4, it will be less common for the Warlock to hit a whole bunch of enemies, so “homing against single opponents” is probably more important than mass destruction.
This is also because in Destiny 2 the Control mode will change in details. The “capping” of individual points will happen much faster. As a result, it will happen less frequently that the Warlock can feast on a group of enemies on a platter.
