Valentine’s Day is coming to Destiny 2. Bungie has revealed how this year’s Valentine’s Day event will unfold. Here you can find everything about the schedule, times, and rewards for the Crimson Days 2019.
This is Crimson Days: Even in the Destiny universe, celebrations are held for Valentine’s Day. During the so-called Crimson Days, the Tower of the Last City is lavishly decorated in the colors of love, and Guardians have the opportunity to celebrate with their closest friends.
During this time, they can grab various event-specific rewards and play a special time-limited PvP mode that was well-received by fans last year. The Crimson Days have now become a tradition and were already held in the predecessor.
When does Crimson Days run? As the name suggests, the Valentine’s Day event lasts for a week.
- Start is on February 12, 2019, at 6 PM
- Ends on February 19, 2019, at 6 PM
Crimson Days is, by the way, the last fresh content for Guardians in Season 5.
Who can participate in the event? The event is available to all Guardians – regardless of whether they own the Annual Pass or the Forsaken expansion. The rewards can also be earned by all Guardians.
How does the event unfold? Your contact person for the event will be Lord Shaxx. So visit him in the Tower as soon as the event starts. There you will receive a badge and Crimson bounties. There will be four daily bounties and one weekly bounty.
Both PvP and PvE players should find something for themselves. The bounties send players not only into the Crucible but also into PvE activities, such as teaming up with a partner in the Nightfall strike.
Additionally, there will be new triumphs for you to chase.
What activities will there be? There will not be any special PvE activities during Crimson Days. Only the Nightfall strike is to be tackled for a bounty in pairs. Otherwise, you will be completing bounties in the usual PvE content.
The centerpiece of the event is, as last year, the Crimson Doubles in the Crucible, a special conflict mode in a 2vs2 format with some peculiarities. If you stay close enough to your partner, your abilities will recharge faster. If you stray too far apart, your location will be revealed to your opponents.
If you do not have a partner to whom you have already given your heart, the matchmaking will ensure that you will get one.
The following bonuses are active during Crimson Days: All those who want to push or reset their valor rank will be pleased. Because during the event, there will be a valor bonus for the Crimson Doubles as well as all other Crucible modes.
What rewards does Crimson Days offer? In the course of the event, there will be double engrams for every rank-up after the max level 50. You will receive an event-specific Crimson engram along with each brand engram.

By the way, there is supposed to be a knockout system active again. This means that you will only receive duplicates from event engrams once you have all the items from the engram pool.
