Bungie has prepared a raid for its latest expansion in Destiny 2: The Edge of Fate. What we know about the World First race can be found here in our overview.
When does the raid start? As always, the new raid will be unlocked first in a competitive mode. This means the raid will be more difficult and the enemies will be stronger. To participate, you need to be there on July 19 at 7:00 PM. The competitive mode will last for 48 hours and will end on July 21 at 6:59 PM.
You need the latest expansion to access the raid as well as having completed the campaign of “The Edge of Fate”. The required power level will be communicated to fans before the start of the raid, but Bungie already recommends that you complete the legendary campaign instead of the regular version.
Little information, but there are Twitch Drops
What is known about the raid? Not much, as Bungie is tight-lipped about new information regarding the raid. Additionally, the studio has removed a large leak server on Discord for Destiny 2 and Marathon – resulting in fewer leaks about the raid.
The raid is said to be named “The Desert Perpetual” and takes place on Kepler. In the short teaser from the trailer, you also see how a strike team stands before the gates of the raid. The team is in front of a desert with the known abstract monuments of the Nine. Many will also recognize these from the dungeon “Prophecy”. The enemy faction of the raid as well as bosses or mechanics are unfortunately not known.
It is certain, however, that fans can expect a special armor set for each class. Parts of the armor will then be awarded during the respective phases of the raid with some luck. Additionally, about 4–6 new weapons are expected to be released and possibly, though unconfirmed, a new exotic.
Are there Twitch Drops? Yes, anyone watching a Destiny streamer during the competition can secure the emblem “Power Hues”. There is also a bonus emblem, Golden Relief, if you leave a subscription for a streamer. Please note that your Bungie and Twitch accounts must be linked to receive your rewards.
Much from the raid will only be known upon its release, but until then fans will have to wait. If Bungie releases further details, we will include them in our overview. Will you participate in the competition? Let us know in the comments!
