This is causing a stir in Destiny: The first Guardians have completed the new Deep Stone Crypt raid from the expansion Destiny 2: Beyond Light and have found a new exotic toy: the rocket launcher “Eyes of Tomorrow”.
The Guardians who have this thing in their hands are giving the exotic top scores. Destiny expert Aztecross even says, “This is the strongest raid exotic that Bungie has ever given us.” Initial comparisons with the most famous Destiny weapon, the Gjallarhorn, are being made.

How to get Eyes of Tomorrow: You have to raid; there’s no way around it.
- The exotic awaits in the new raid “Deep Stone Crypt” on Europa.
- You have a chance for the rocket launcher when you defeat the final boss and loot the chest.
- Whether there is an increasing chance for each attempt is currently unknown. Such a system has been implemented by Bungie in the past with other raid exotics – a kind of bad luck protection.
Now you know where to get the new exotic, but why is everyone so crazy about the weapon?
What the exotic can do: Eyes of Tomorrow is a rocket launcher that deals solar damage and requires heavy ammo. The weapon’s stats are almost irrelevant, but the high reload speed stands out, which greatly benefits you with the ideal play style.
The main focus is on the two exotic perks:
- Everything in sight: The weapon tracks multiple targets and can simultaneously fire at several enemies.
- Adaptive projectile: If you take down 4 or more enemies with a salvo, the damage of the next salvo increases.
Don’t be fooled by the sober description: When you look through the scope, you can ping up to 6 enemies instantly. The targets are then stored, and the rockets aggressively seek their victims.
If you then take down 4 enemies – which is not a problem due to the explosion radius and tracking – the damage of the next batch of rockets increases by 40 to 50%.
The new exotic “Eyes of Tomorrow” destroys everything in Destiny 2
Only a few Guardians have the new raid exotic yet. But brace yourselves to see the “Eyes of Tomorrow” soon in all areas of Destiny 2, as the item performs strongly in PvE, the Crucible, and Gambit.
How good the exotic is in PvE:
- The weapon can easily take down a wave of normal enemies or deal heavy damage to bosses.
- The normal damage seems to be about twice as high as that of the powerful raid exotic Outbreak Perfected.
- Activating the damage bonus is enough to send everything that is not a raid or powerful end boss straight to the virtual afterlife.
- With a reserve mod, you can reach the limit of 8 rocket salvos and can quickly fire them off thanks to the high reload speed.

What can the rocket launcher do in PvP? Here, the weapon can be referred to as the baby of Wardcliff Coil and Truth. Both exotic rocket launchers are very popular, and Eyes of Tomorrow combines their power.
- If you have an enemy team in your sights, they’re basically all dead.
- The target acquisition is instantaneous, and the target tracking is very aggressive.
- In the Crucible, the weapon performs the weakest, as the rockets fly somewhat slower than those of the exo-parents – but you won’t go wrong with Eyes of Tomorrow even in PvP.
That’s why the weapon is the Gambit king: The rocket launcher is incredibly strong in PvE, good in PvP, but an absolute monster in Gambit.
- No matter if time travelers, witches, or high-value targets – everything is surrounded by adds and can be quickly taken down.
- The weapon shines the most during invasions. As an invader, you can catch the 4-player team with a single rocket load if you’re lucky. The target tracking makes it hard to escape, and you can send your merciless, homing killers even over great distances.
- With 2 rocket scavenger mods, you receive 4 rockets per heavy ammunition box. This ideally means you can wipe out the opposing team in just 4 visits.
