Destiny 2 has seen many players tackle the hardest content effortlessly alone. Now a Guardian has defeated the latest final boss of the raid “Root of Nightmares” solo. Here’s how he did it.
What was accomplished? The fresh YouTuber and Guardian TheSnazzzyRock is known on his channel for overcoming raid encounters solo or duo. This time, the new raid “Root of Nightmares” was chosen as a challenge. Snazzzy has set out to defeat Nezarek, the final boss of the Lightfall raid, solo without any help from other players.
The boss is considered not too difficult in a 6-man team, yet solo, especially due to the high intensity of enemies and Nezarek’s abilities, it is a tough challenge. Despite the difficulties, he managed to conquer the boss.
Defeating Nezarek Alone – Here’s How He Did It
TheSnazzzyRock took his Warlock for this challenge with a variety of builds that he constantly switched based on situations thanks to the new build crafting menus.
First, he tackled the mechanics with light and darkness while gradually decimating the enemies. He used the Solar gauntlets and generated many grenades after a melee kill. Meanwhile, he maneuvered quickly across the entire map with his Icarus Dash so as not to waste time on the mechanics.

If all the conditions are right for the damage phase, he switches his loadout and hides with his well in a corner of the map where Nezarek cannot attack or harm him. Snazzzy repeated this three times until he was finally able to defeat Nezarek in the final stand.
After his victory, Snazzzy began to scream and cheer with joy, while he clarified that his hands had gone numb.
How does the community react? Players on YouTube celebrate his clip for the victory against Nezarek. They find it funny how the final boss just falls over upon his death. The players comment:
