In Destiny 2 we look at new Exotics that you may have missed in the last few days.
Almost two weeks ago, the E3 2017 took place, the most important gaming fair in the world. Countless news about various games came in, including Destiny 2. In the meantime, the wave of news has subsided and the Guardians had enough time to take a closer look at the footage presented during the E3. Users made interesting observations.
From a Tex Mechanica grenade launcher to a golden pistol
Let’s start with a grenade launcher that is likely from the weapon manufacturer Tex Mechanica. Background:
- Grenade launchers are a new weapon class in Destiny that are categorized as Power Weapons .
- Tex Mechanica is a weapon manufacturer in Destiny, known for weapons like The Last Word and The Chaperone. Bungie has already announced that Destiny 2 will also feature weapon manufacturers Tex Mechanica, SUROS, Omolon, Häkke, and Veist (new).

This grenade launcher appears briefly in the E3 trailer for Destiny 2. There is also a scene in first-person perspective:
Here is the Tex Mechanica logo briefly visible. The design also resembles the weapons of this manufacturer. It is not yet known if this weapon is exotic – but it looks like an Exotic.
Cold Heart
During E3, the wrestler “The Big Show” had a casual chat with Bungie CEO Pete Parsons, who handed the wrestler an exotic fusion rifle from Destiny 2: This thing is called Cold Heart and has an extravagant design:
This weapon was already seen in a display case during the gameplay premiere:
Little else is known about this Exotic. In terms of design, it resembles a Kabal weapon quite closely, which leads to the assumption that the Exotic has something to do with the Cabal:
Borealis
We have already reported about the exotic sniper rifle Borealis. It is part of the content that is exclusive to PlayStation for one year. The special thing: The sniper can switch its elemental damage at will:
“Dubious Volley”
The rocket launcher, which the community calls Dubious Volley, is finally coming to Destiny 2. This is already known. However, it was now clear to see in the E3 trailer what had been speculated: The mini-rockets are homing. Each one seeks a target:
A golden pistol
In the image where the Guardian is holding the Dubious Volley, another weapon is also visible: a golden pistol.
A new sword
In Destiny 2, there will be all sorts of different swords. A new sword was shown in the E3 trailer:
This sword has a circular mechanism, which leads us to believe that due to this special design, it is exotic:
Damaged armor
Additionally: In the E3 trailer, some Guardians have damaged armor. Whether such a mechanic will ultimately be present in the game, remains to be seen.
