MIDA Mini-Tool – Location – Quest
Your first task is to successfully complete the story campaign of Destiny 2. You cannot access any MIDA before that.
After the campaign, quests will be unlocked in all four worlds. You can recognize these quests by a crown symbol on a blue background.
For the MIDA Quest, you need to accept the quest line “Expand” in the European Dead Zone. It is located near Devrim Kay. The recommended power level is 260.

The MIDA Mini-Tool is a legendary submachine gun with solar damage. It has the special perk of granting speed bonuses when you also have the MIDA Multi-Tool equipped. This means there are synergy effects. The intrinsic perk of the Mini-Tool is that you can move faster.
Important Note: Make sure you have an energy weapon slot free when you receive the weapon. There is currently a problem that the MIDA Mini-Tool is not being sent correctly to the post office. How to get the MIDA Multi-Tool in Destiny 2 – MIDA Multitool Exotic Quest
Once you have obtained the MIDA Mini-Tool, you can go to Gunsmith Banshee-44, who is located in the social space after the campaign:
- The Gunsmith will give you a quest where you need to defeat enemies with precision shots (50 total) and also kill several enemies without reloading (25 total). You should do this all with a scout rifle. He wants to reconstruct the MIDA blueprints.
- Once that’s done, return to the Gunsmith. You should dismantle scout rifles of Rare (blue) quality or higher. After dismantling 5, you can continue.
- Banshee-44 has another task for you: You need to achieve 50 submachine gun kills from the air. So take your MIDA Mini-Tool, jump in the air, and blast the enemies below you.
- After this, return to the Gunsmith, and he will hand you the MIDA Multi-Tool.
The Perks of the MIDA Multi-Tool
The MIDA Multi-Tool in Destiny 2 is an exotic scout rifle that deals kinetic damage. It has a fire rate of 200 and a magazine size of 16.
