Currently, an enormous leak regarding the upcoming Forsaken expansion of Destiny 2 is circulating on Reddit. Although the leak is already six days old, it gained substantial relevance today. We will tell you why.
For six days now, there has been a post on Reddit summarizing many alleged details about the Forsaken expansion – including information about the raid, strikes, Gambit, the story, and the new clan features. What is true?
Leak suddenly taken seriously after 6 days
Anonymous source: Since the details are supposed to originate from an anonymous source, many users have scoffed at the post until now. However, that changed with the current issue of the weekly TWaB blog.
The special thing about the leak: Some information presented by Bungie last night is included in the already six-day-old leak – such as the name of the Infamy ranking system in Gambit or some details about the revised clan system. Other posts by the author are also currently very popular on Reddit and seem authentic.
Community discusses: With some nuances of the leak, the Reddit user Ginsor was also wrong. Now the community wonders if perhaps more details from the leak could turn out to be true.

According to the leak, this comes with Destiny 2: Forsaken
The leak covers numerous aspects of the upcoming fall expansion.
The Forsaken raid
- The new raid is said to be called “Last Wish” and will feature a normal and a prestige mode
- The new raid boss is said to be called “Dul Incaru, the Eternal Return” (the author is not 100% sure about this)
- There is supposed to be a one-time challenge where you must complete the raid within 24 hours after its release
New Strikes in Forsaken
- There are supposed to be four new strikes: “Warden of Nothing”, “The Hollowed Lair”, “The Corrupted”, and “Broodhold”
- The Nightfall versions are supposed to have special challenges, such as receiving no Arc damage during the final fight
Gambit
- Gambit is supposed to have a new ranking system called “Infamy”
- Similar to the Crucible, you will earn ornaments and gear as you rank up
- Infamy can be reset
- The highest Infamy rank seems to be 15 (the author is wrong about this)
- Hawthorne is supposed to have a new clan engram for Gambit
Masterwork Cores
- Weekly clan milestones are supposed to include masterwork cores
- There is said to be a chance to receive a masterwork core from a boss kill
- Masterwork cores are also supposed to be purchasable (the author does not know where and with which currency)
Dungeon
- There is said to be a dungeon called “The Shattered Throne”
- Several activities are supposed to take place in this dungeon
- In another part of the game, you are supposed to acquire an impure version of the armor set “Reverie Dawn“, which you can then cleanse in various activities in the Shattered Throne
Petra Venj
- Petra Venj is supposed to return as a new NPC (probably in the Reef)
- Petra Venj will offer special bounties. For example, you will need to complete all bounties within a week
Clan Focus
- Stronger focus on clan activities
- Examples include joint milestones/goals such as completing raids, strikes, nightfalls, crucible matches, or escalation protocol completions
- Some milestones are supposed to require a full 6-man clan fireteam, such as completing the “Last Wish” raid
- Playing together with clanmates is supposed to activate special buffs in certain activities, such as increased recovery, resilience, or mobility
Cayde’s exotic hand cannon Ace of Spades
- There is supposed to be a mission where you recover the gun from Uldren
- Once you have it back, it will initially be a damaged version that needs to be repaired throughout a longer questline
Fugitive prisoners
- You will hunt down fugitive prisoners who have escaped from the Prison of Elders in several activities
- You will find them in patrol zones on other planets, in Lost Sectors, and in public events
Collections
- Collections will also include achievements from Destiny 1 on consoles
- These include completing various campaigns, character transfer to Destiny 2, reaching the Lighthouse, earning Grimoire points, or obtaining special weapons (Thorn, Gjallarhorn)
Cosmetic items
- New shapes for ghost shells
- A Sparrow in the Taken theme
Story of Forsaken
This is described by the author as a brief summary. In some points, he is not 100% sure.
- Uldren believes his sister Mara is still alive
- He thinks she is being held captive by the Taken Techeun Illyn in the Dreaming City
- To save her, she asks him in his “visions” to open the gates to the Dreaming City
- In some way, he allies himself with the prisoners in the Prison of Elders for this
- In the attempt to restore order in the Prison together with Petra Venj, Cayde-6 dies
- Right after Uldren manages to open the gates to the Dreaming City, he is killed by a creature. However, the gates remain open
- Now it is Petra Venj’s duty to protect the Dreaming City with all its secrets and treasures. We will help her with that
Note on Uldren’s death: The scene is said to be shown in a video sequence, which is why the author is confident about this point.
