This Guardian managed solo what others struggle to achieve in groups of three. He completed this week’s Nightfall Strike in Destiny 2 solo!
The Nightfall Strike is one of the toughest activities in Destiny 2. Only Guardians with a high Power Level are able to successfully complete it. The requirement is 230 Power, the recommended level is 240 – however, you should be above 260 before attempting the “Nightfall”.
On the one hand, it is easier to master then, and on the other hand, the “Powerful Gear” is worth it, which you can only earn weekly. Because the Nightfall is one of the weekly activities, whose loot is limited but among the best.
In the launch week of Destiny 2, the Strike “The Arms Dealer” is the Nightfall. In it, you need to eliminate the Cabal boss “Bracus Zahn”. While many Guardians are currently struggling to reach high Power Levels with this activity – and in a fireteam of three players – YouTuber Esoterickk is now showing how “easily” one can complete the Nightfall Strike solo. With the Fist of Chaos into Death – and to Victory
Esoterickk is no stranger in the Guardian community. Back in Destiny 1, he repeatedly made waves with solo runs. In Destiny 2, this solo Nightfall is his biggest achievement so far.
This is his Guardian loadout:
- Striker Titan with Pulse Grenade and the top skill tree (with Shoulder Charge “Seismic Strike”)
- Kinetic Weapon: Nameless Midnight (Scout Rifle)
- Energy Weapon: Skyburner’s Oath (Exotic Scout Rifle)
- Power Weapon: Curtain Call – Rocket Launcher
- He also has the exotic leg armor Dunemarchers
- Power Level 295, Mobility 2, Resilience 5, Recovery 5
He states that it was quite a challenge. The most difficult part was the end of the boss fight, which is why he decided to swiftly take down Bracus Zahn, throw a Pulse Grenade at him, and hit him with Fists of Chaos. While Esoterickk did die himself, so did the boss, allowing him to successfully complete the Nightfall Strike.
That he is not doing this Strike for the first time is apparent within moments. He purposefully completes the objectives and positions himself skillfully with the Titan Barricade. According to his own account, it took him 5-6 hours until this run succeeded.
By the way: The Nightfall Strike was completed on “Normal”. There is also the “Prestige” difficulty – for which the recommended Power is 300. It’s only a matter of time until Esoterickk attempts this solo.
