Are you tired of the monotonous grind in group activities? Then you can spice things up by scanning some objects and easily snag a few extra faction tokens in Destiny 2.
The 2nd Faction Rally of Season 3 is currently underway. Numerous Guardians are grinding tirelessly for faction tokens to rank up with the faction of their choice. This is the way to obtain armor ornaments and the coveted masterwork catalysts.
If you want to farm tokens efficiently, you must prepare for a rather monotonous grind. However, if you’re looking for a bit of variety in your token hunt, you can also earn extra faction tokens by scanning some objects.

The 4 scannable objects of the Faction Rally – Here’s where to find them
There are a total of four scannable faction objects placed throughout the world of Destiny 2. The locations change from event to event.
Each object grants you 5 faction tokens after scanning. This allows you to earn a maximum of 20 faction tokens per character during a group event, and up to a total of 60 faction tokens per account.
The Faction Scannables can be found in the following locations during the 2nd Faction Rally of Season 3:
- EDZ on Earth: Lost Sector “Widow’s Walk”
- Titan: Lost Sector “Methane Flush”
- Nessus: Lost Sector “The Throne World”
- Io: Lost Sector “Aphix Containment”
