In Destiny 2, Guardians are currently facing some issues with the new Obelisk in the EDZ. We will show you what you can do against the annoying bug.
This is the issue: The Season of Dawn has entered its second week. Besides the Winter Event The Dawning, players are eager to progress in the time travel story involving Osiris. However, one of his quests is currently causing problems for some Guardians.
As announced in the roadmap, Destiny players gained access to two additional Obelisks yesterday. However, the new Obelisk in the EDZ is not cooperating. A bug is preventing some players from interacting with the object.

Guardians know how to help themselves
What you can do against it: There currently seem to be three workarounds. This means you can circumvent the problem through alternative means and hopefully interact with the Obelisk in the EDZ.
One of these three methods should also help you:
- If the Obelisk does not respond correctly, move away a few meters and then walk back to the Obelisk. Try your luck several times now.
- If that doesn’t work, it is recommended to change areas. Jump on your Sparrow and drive until you enter a different loading zone. Now return to the Obelisk.
- If that was unsuccessful as well? Go to orbit and fly to the EDZ again. If that doesn’t help, restarting the console has brought relief to some players.
What are the consequences of the bug? This is somewhat annoying as the Obelisks play a central role in Season 9. They are directly connected to the Sundial and the loot in the PvE activity.
Also, the powerful weapons in the Saint-14 look are only available once you have completed the quest involving the Obelisks.
What does Bungie say about it? The Destiny developers are aware of the problem. Both on Reddit and on Twitter, Community Manager dmg04 has spoken out.
He announced that the team is currently looking into the bug concerning the EDZ Obelisk. Additionally, he recommended some of the workarounds mentioned above.
