In Destiny 2, the toughest weeks of the loot shooter are now approaching. The season has finished telling its story, there is hardly any new content, and activities are just rotating aimlessly. Many players are now looking for a new pastime until the release of “The Final Shape”, but Bungie wants to invite you to log in weekly with gifts.
What is Bungie giving away? In the latest TWaB post from Bungie, the developers revealed a generous announcement. Starting March 5th, a small package of 700 Glimmer units will be waiting weekly for every player willing to log in. This will be repeated weekly until the DLC “The Final Shape” is released.
If you calculate the weeks until June 4th, the release date of “The Final Shape”, this totals over 7000 Glimmer that players can grab for free in just a few minutes in the Eververse. A considerable amount, especially for those who want to enjoy one or another ornament for weapons and armor without spending real money.
Bungie invites everyone to play with gifts
Are these the only gifts? No, Guardians are not only receiving Glimmer as gifts for weeks, but also a small bundle of cosmetic goodies from the collaboration with Destiny 2 x Mass Effect. Players will receive the “Alliance Armor Pack” for free, containing the following items:
- “Enhanced Defense” Ghost shell
- Alliance Scout Frigate ship
- Alliance Drop Ship Sparrow
However, for the emote and armor pack, you still need to pay Silver.
What’s next for Destiny 2? In the TWaB, Bungie also discussed new and old weapons that will soon be featured in the rotation. These include:
- Trials of Osiris
- The Prophet, Stasis Scout Rifle
- The Summoner, Solar Auto Rifle
- Iron Banner
- Tusk of the Boar, Strang Grenade Launcher
- Multimach CCX, Kinetic Submachine Gun
- Nightfall (Strike)
- Wild Style, Solar Grenade Launcher
- Slammer Sword, Stasis Sword
Bungie also had new dates to announce for the upcoming Iron Banner event. The event is set to occur two more times. Mark the following dates if you need any items:
- April 2
- April 30
What do you think of the generous actions Bungie is taking until the release of “The Final Shape”? Do you find the amount of Glimmer sufficient, or should Bungie have given more? We would love to hear your thoughts in the comments.
