Why do the Guardians in Destiny 2 not wear helmets?
A question that comes up on reddit repeatedly: Why is no one wearing a helmet in Destiny 2?
Neither in the reveal trailer nor in brief video clips that are supposed to hype up the gameplay premiere are helmets seen. In the trailer, the Vanguard leaders fight without helmets against the Cabal. Even in the brief clips, the Guardians are shown in combat poses – but even they do not wear helmets.

Some users hope that this has the following reason: To hint that you can customize the Guardians in Destiny 2 with beards. Because the Warlock has a beard. This option is not available in Destiny 1, much to the chagrin of many beard wearers.
Come what may – at the gameplay premiere, we will certainly see whether helmets are still in the game. If not, that would be quite a big surprise.
