In Destiny 2 multiple ways have been discovered to quickly farm faction tokens. You need these to get faction-specific loot.
The group battles have started, and the factions Dead Orbit, New Monarchy, and Future War Cult are gathering the Guardians to win them over for their cause.
You are to collect faction tokens for the respective faction in various activities. The faction whose Guardians find the most tokens in one week and thus acquire the most reward packages wins. The winning faction will be announced on October 3. They will then exclusively sell a special weapon.
Meanwhile, numerous Guardians are busy bringing in tokens for their faction. After all, the tokens are not just about victory, but also about faction-specific loot. When you redeem the tokens with the faction, you will receive reward packages that can contain a variety of tasty items.
So: How can you efficiently obtain faction tokens to snag as much faction loot as possible in the week?
The best farming method is Lost Sectors
Within the Guardian community, several methods have quickly been developed to obtain as many tokens as possible in the shortest time: The Lost Sectors turned out to be the best source. You receive tokens by destroying the resources within them. They look like this:

The first Lost Sector is located in the gorge in the EDZ. Ride your Sparrow in there, destroy the resources, ignore the enemies, and run back out again. As soon as you are back in the gorge area (i.e., you have changed zones), you can return to the Lost Sector and destroy the resources again. In this Lost Sector, you can bring out the Sparrow to go back in.
In each run, you receive three tokens. And since a run only takes a few seconds, you will accumulate large amounts of tokens in no time. You can repeat the fun as long as you want. Because this farming method can be monotonous.
Another Lost Sector is located in the church. Nexxoss shows this one in the video as well – if you need some variety while farming.
In the reddit forum, a Lost Sector on Io, in the Lost Oasis proves itself. Although this one is quite spacious, it offers a hefty 6 resources – and thus 6 tokens per run. Here is a video about it:

By the way:
- In some Lost Sectors, there are scannable objects. If you scan these, there are extra tokens.
- For completing heroic public events, you get 8 tokens. These are also a good source for tokens.
- For completing regular public events, you get 4 tokens.
- For a victory in PvP, you receive 5 tokens.
- A defeat in PvP grants you 2 tokens.
- And a strike gives you 5 tokens. Thus, strikes are not suitable for farming at all.
- In the raid, you also receive tokens.
