This is also a rarity in the long history of Destiny and Destiny 2. The exotic items vendor, Xur, simply forgot the weapon on May 31st. Now Bungie has fixed the error. Xur is now selling the exotic auto rifle Suros Regime.
What’s going on? Although Xur is no longer as popular as in the glory days of Destiny 1, when everyone hoped he would bring the Gjallarhorn, some fans still remember the old tentacled face.
The disappointment was even greater when they discovered Xur in the tower hangar on Earth yesterday, ran to him, and in horror realized that the Agent of the Nine simply had no exotic weapon in his offerings.
When asked spontaneously, he didn’t want to explain himself, just mumbled that his will didn’t belong to him and smiled in a calm manner as is his way.
There were some disappointed faces in Destiny 2 yesterday. The Guardians took the opportunity to insult Xur extensively like in the old days. On reddit, someone called him a “tentacled bastard.”
On MeinMMO, Guardians wondered if this had ever happened in all these years.
Has this happened before? In fact, this happened in the early days of Destiny 1 as well. In July 2015, Xur also didn’t have an exotic weapon.
Back then it was even said: Bungie couldn’t change this and there really was no weapon that weekend.
What does he have now? Bungie fixed this last night. At 2:00 AM our time, Bungie Help tweeted that the problem of Xur not selling a weapon had been resolved. Players can now buy the SUROS Regime from him for legendary shards.
What can the Suros Regime do? The SUROS Regime returned to Destiny 2 with the DLC Warmind. It was also an excellent PvP weapon at times – but has actually been overshadowed by other exotic weapons in the last few weeks.

The special feature of Suros Regime:
- The lower half of the magazine deals bonus damage and has a chance to restore health.
- Furthermore, sustained fire increases the rate of fire
- when aiming, the fire rate decreases, but the damage increases.
