A dedicated Destiny 2 fan has meticulously recreated the “Pikass” revolver – even with that exotic something special. The community is thrilled by the creativity.
This is the weapon: The exotic revolver Pikass is probably the most iconic hand cannon alongside the Last Word and the Thorn that exists in Destiny 2 today.
The weapon belonged to the charismatic hunter Cayde-6. During the campaign of Forsaken , the Guardians embarked on a quest for revenge to avenge the fallen Cayde. At the end of the western story, players held his weapon “Pikass” in their hands as a memento.
One of the exotic perks of the revolver is called “Memento Mori” (Latin for ‘remember your mortality’).
If you reload after a kill, the damage of the projectiles increases. To signal this, the weapon glows blue and it smokes as if the magazine were burning.
The special something
This is what makes the replica so special: An enthusiastic Destiny fan has recently paid a special tribute to this emotional weapon. The “hobby gunsmith” and cosplayer Nick is active on Twitter under the name WardcoProps.
He documents the construction of the “Ace of Spades” (Pikass) and other objects from the Destiny universe with many tweets. For months, he has been working meticulously on the current replica.
To mimic the special smoke effect of “Memento Mori”, the crafty builder has incorporated a vaporizer and an aquarium pump along with lighting elements.
