You found an exotic armor piece for the Warlock in Destiny 2 and don’t know what to do with it in PvE or PvP? We present the Exotics in English and provide build suggestions.
Destiny 2 offers a wealth of exotic weapons and armor that can make your Guardian stronger. Choosing the right gear is essential if you want to tackle the toughest content and gain crucial advantages.
It should be noted: You can only equip one exotic weapon and one exotic armor piece at a time. So the choice of exotic gear should be well thought out.
We now provide you with a list of all exotic armor pieces for the Warlock. Which subclass and build should you play with the exotic armor? Which exotic weapon is suitable?
[toc]
Unlike exotic weapons, the armors are always class-specific. Titans, Hunters, and Warlocks have their own armor pieces that can only be equipped by the respective class.
Many exotic armors favor a particular playstyle, focus, or build. To give you an overview of all skills and focuses of the Warlock, we recommend the detailed class guide for the Warlock!
The Crown of Tempests
The Crown of Tempests not only looks stylish but is also quite useful. The exotic helmet has the following intrinsic perk:
- Kills with Arc abilities reduce the cooldown of Arc abilities

We recommend the following setup if you want to play with the Crown of Tempests:
- Focus – Stormcaller Warlock
- Build – Elemental Attunement
- Exotic Weapon – Riskrunner
The Crown of Tempests is suitable only for the Stormcaller subclass due to its exotic perk. Its strength is especially pronounced in the skill tree Elemental Attunement (the one on the bottom). Because this build additionally reduces your cooldowns besides the helmet.
With the Electrostatic Surge, your Rift charges faster when allies are nearby. The melee attack Rising Storm also lowers cooldowns. Additionally, you have access to the Arc Soul, a small orb above your shoulder that targets enemies. If your Arc Soul kills an enemy, this also affects the exotic perk of the helmet.
If you now add mods to your armor that further reduce cooldowns, you can let the sparks fly with this build.
The Eye of Another World
The exotic helmet Eye of Another World comes with the following exotic perk:
- Marks priority targets and reduces the cooldown of grenade, melee, and Rift abilities

As the helmet is class-agnostic, we will not make a specific build suggestion here. The helmet reduces the cooldowns of grenade, melee, and Rift abilities by about 10% (from 1:22 minutes to 1:14 minutes).
And what is meant by priority targets? All enemies in the red (critical) health zone, as well as enemies with full Super ability, will be marked.
Here’s a little tip for the build: Dawnblade Warlocks with the skill tree Celestial Attunement can regenerate grenade and melee abilities in the air with the perk Heat Rises. The helmet further reduces this cooldown.
If you are playing as a Voidwalker, you are much better off with Nezarec’s Sin. And Stormcallers can get more out of the Crown of Tempests.
Nezarec’s Sin
Stormcallers have the Crown of Tempests, while Voidwalkers get to wear the exotic helmet Nezarec’s Sin. The helmet carries this exotic perk:
- Void kills accelerate ability energy recharge

With the following build, you can make the most out of the helmet:
- Focus – Voidwalker Warlock
- Build – All
- Exotic Weapon – Any exotic weapon with Void element
Unlike the Crown of Tempests, the exotic perk of Nezarec’s Sin is also activated when you get kills with Void weapons. So equip Void weapons in the energy and power weapon slots. If you’re playing solo with the build Hunger’s Edge, you can continuously regenerate health with the ability Devour and recharge your abilities.
The Voidwalker represents one of the best builds in the game with the helmet and Void weapons. Just give it a try! Mods that reduce cooldowns help as well.
Helm of the Destructive Ahamkara
Voidwalkers can also play with the exotic helmet of the Destructive Ahamkara in addition to Nezarec’s Sin. This offers the following bonus:
- Additional damage resistance when using the Nova Bomb. Kills with the Nova Bomb grant Super energy

If you want to try the helmet, we recommend the following settings:
- Focus – Voidwalker Warlock
- Build – Any
- Exotic Weapon – Any
What can you do with a helmet that only provides bonuses when executing the Super ability? Correct, instead equip Nezarec’s Sin, which increases ability recharge not only on Super kills but on all Void kills.
