In Destiny 2, the spring event “The Revelry” has begun. How to earn Revelry Essence and use the Revelry Elixir will be explained here.
This is the event: With the weekly reset on April 16, a new spring event was activated in Destiny 2. The Revelry runs from April 16 to May 7, bringing you an alternative version of the Verdant Forest on Mercury among other things.
Additionally, it’s about collecting Revelry Essence. Among other things, Guardians need the essence for the kinetic linear fusion rifle Arbalest, but also to upgrade the Revelry Tonic.
Arbalest is one of the new exotics in the Season of the Vagabond.

The Revelry: How Revelry Elixirs and Revelry Essences work
Here starts the quest: To begin the spring festivities, you should visit the Tower. Eva Levante has returned and serves as the contact person for the Revelry. You will find her near Ikora at the Bazaar.
This is how the Revelry Elixir works
Here you receive the elixir: At the beginning of the event, Eva hands you a Revelry Elixir and your first 50 Revelry Essences. You can find the tonic in your inventory and access it from there.
This is what the elixir can do: Upon receiving the tonic from Eva Levante, you will be faced with a choice. With 50 Revelry Essences, you can choose one of the following three buffs:
- Reduce grenade cooldown
- Reduce melee attack cooldown
- Reduce class ability cooldown
The buff lasts for one hour. For each additional use of the elixir, you must invest another 50 essences.
Your chosen buff will be strengthened with each piece of gear equipped from the event armor “Kickoff of the Revelry” or from the Eververse armor “Spring Bloom”.
The buffs are active in all activities, even in the Crucible. Only private matches are excluded from this.
This is how to obtain Revelry Essences
This is where you collect essences: You collect Revelry Essences during the event in all activities. However, the best way to quickly gather a lot of essence is the Verdant Forest.
As you battle through the alternate Verdant Forest, you will encounter chests at the end that reward you with essences. These are from the 5 final bosses. After each boss kill, a chest with 10 essences spawns, and after the 5th and final boss, you even get 15 of them. In a single run, you can earn up to 55 units of the new event currency.
Additionally, Eva Levante offers you five bounties every day that reward you with Revelry Essence. However, to gain full access to her bounties, you must first master her first weekly bounty and then speak with her again.
This is what essences are for: With Revelry Essences, you not only fuel your Revelry Elixir but also earn various event rewards.

Furthermore, you can buy a Revelry assortment from Eva Levante for 75 essences. These small packs may contain with a bit of luck Revelry ornaments, gear, and other selected trinkets.
