In Destiny 2, the Calus Challenge is live! Here you will find the solution on how to complete the raid challenge in the Throne Room.
The last challenge in the Leviathan raid is now known! On 21.11, the challenge against the final boss Calus went live, which you can now defeat in a special way.
The raid challenge is available in both normal mode and prestige mode.
Solution for the raid challenge in the Throne Room
One condition must be met for the challenge:
- In each damage phase, you must activate all four platforms simultaneously while dealing damage to Calus.
This means that each platform must be occupied while you shoot at Calus. If you are only on one platform or activate the other platforms too late, the challenge will fail. This will be indicated with the message “Challenge failed” at the bottom left corner of the screen:
How do I best approach this challenge?
Play the encounter as you did before. Three Guardians stay in the dimension, three players return to the throne room (you can also play 4 in the dimension, 2 in the throne room). The players in the dimension shoot at the skulls, increase the buff, and also return to the throne room.
Normally, all 6 Guardians would now stand on one platform together, deal damage to Calus, and then jump from one platform to the next together. This time, do not proceed that way.
Instead:
- Decide in advance who will jump to which platform.
- Tip: 2 Guardians take the platform front right (Sun), 2 Guardians take front left (Cup), and one Guardian each stands on Dog and Axe. This ensures each platform is occupied, and since the front platforms are closer to Calus, you can avoid any damage drop-offs here. Now hit Calus with everything you have.
- As all platforms have been activated after this phase, you must wait until the next damage phase to deal damage to Calus again.
- So repeat the entire process until Calus is down. This should definitely be possible within three damage phases. However, there are also several reports from Guardians who managed to defeat Calus in two phases this way.
