Guardians from Destiny 2 can explore various planets, including the icy moon Europa. Normally, it is just icy, cold, and windy there. However, a Guardian has now discovered a quirky visual bug that overloads the cold moon of Europa with ridiculously bright party vibes.
What did the Guardian discover? Originally, Guardian Crimson_Rose_2065 just wanted to complete his Vex mission at the Destiny location Europa. But instead of the usual feeling of the icy moon, he suddenly saw a wild and disturbing light show in the sky.
- In the short video he shared with the Destiny subreddit, colorful “laser beams” can be seen shooting chaotically into the sky.
- The lights seem to come and go at random, partially covering the entire screen. He titled it, “Commander, please pick me up, I am scared!”.
Bug Creates Party Vibes in the Community
Indeed, this laser show is quirky, but also worth seeing. The thread had already gathered 2.2k positive upvotes and 157 comments from the Destiny community by the time of our article.
However, the actual bug seemed to be a minor issue. Many Guardians thought that this unwanted “Europa party” just needed the right beat to become the biggest Vex party of all time.
- The player VictusFerrum commented: “Yoooo, this Lost Sector must have some good techno.”
- Oliferro sees parallels to the Wyrm Bay and writes: “Looks like the nightclub of the Empty Tank [a former Lost Sector] is back on the menu, folks!”
- KFChero1 thinks the light show looks “like a glittery Hunter cloak colliding with Telesto in a massive super glitch.”
- NamenThalb reassures everyone and says: “Those are just a few Guardians in the Lost Sector throwing a rave for the Fallen with the exotic weapon ‘Hard Light’.”
Not necessarily a new Destiny bug: Some players were not sure whether this is actually a new Destiny bug.
It might seem like the laser turrets of the current Season 19 could be the culprits. But the twitching Hunter cloaks that get caught everywhere while running and stretch into impossible angles also resemble this bug.
However, a few Guardians noted that the cause of this private Europa rave party might only stem from the player’s system and therefore isn’t a bug. Such wild graphical glitches, as seen here, would often indicate that the GPU or console is about to give up.
“Your GPU probably only has a limited lifespan left, I’m sorry.” points out Destiny player ChoPT to the creator on reddit regarding this possibility.
What do you think about the spectacle? Do you think it’s time to meet up on Europa and celebrate a Guardian party with flashing lasers before the upcoming “Lightfall” DLC? Or do you also believe that this issue is not a Destiny 2 bug, but a purely technical and localized problem? Feel free to let us know in the comments.
Today, there is another premiere in Destiny 2 that you can check out.
- At 4 PM Bungie will release a new trailer on YouTube that provides players with further information about the new subclass “Strand.” You can also find a suitable interview on MeinMMO.
