A scandal in Destiny 2 led to fans grinding for the best rolls of their weapons longer than previously thought. The developers acknowledged this, fixed the problem, and are now rewarding all players with powerful and free weapons.
What was the scandal? It is the infamous ‘Weightgate’. If someone wanted to farm a God Roll, that player had only a chance of obtaining the desired roll with a bit of luck – whereas all possible roll combinations should have had the same chance of dropping.
However, with Weightgate, the system intentionally reduced the chances of getting the best roll configurations. You only get “bad” rolls unless you waste your luck for the next 10 years of your life.
Fans ultimately managed to discover the Weightgate, and Bungie was able to mitigate the issue with a patch and fix the error. As compensation, the developers have put together some strong weapons that you can now get for free since the start of Act 2.
Banshee is feeling generous at the Tower
Which weapons are available for free? If you’re looking for the weapons, you’ll find them at the Tower with Banshee-44, the gunsmith. The following rolls can be grabbed:

Are these God Rolls? Kinda. These are solid weapon rolls that can be used well for DPS phases in boss fights, add-clears, and PvP. Unfortunately, they are not God Rolls according to the current meta.
There are better perk configurations that are more effective in battling your enemies. Still, you get strong options for some weapons that you would otherwise have to farm with some luck in dungeons or the crucible.
