Destiny 2 Beta – Preload-Start auf PS4, Xbox One!

In Destiny 2, you can soon start the preload for the beta on PS4 and Xbox One. This way, you can download the game data before the launch.

Next week, the beta phase for Destiny 2 begins. For a long time, the Guardians have been wondering if there would be a preload: in other words, the ability to download the game data in advance, so you can dive in right at server launch.

Now for the official confirmation: Yes, there will be a preload. And it starts today!

Pre-download of the Destiny 2 Beta

Activision confirmed to Polygon that the preload starts today, on July 13:

World-wide, Guardians can start the download on their PlayStation 4 or Xbox One at 7 PM our time. The download size is a good 13 GB (PS4).

Since the “Destiny 2” beta starts on July 18 on PS4, you have a full five days to download the game data. During this time, even slow internet connections should be able to manage to download large amounts of GB.

How can I start the preload?

You can only start the preload if you have a beta code, according to Polygon. You receive it by pre-ordering Destiny 2 or by looking for codes on social media. In recent days, for example, the Community Manager Cozmo repeatedly distributed beta codes. But you had to be quick. You then enter this code today at 7 PM in the console store.

The kickoff for the “Destiny 2” beta will start first on PS4. It will begin with a key on July 18 at 7 PM.
24 hours later, Xbox Guardians can join the beta with a key.
Starting on July 21, the open beta begins, to which all interested players on PS4 and Xbox One will get access.
The beta ends on July 23.

The beta for PC will follow at the end of August. There is no specific date yet.
