When is the release? Destiny 2 is expected to be back online after the implementation of “The Edge of Fate” on July 15, 2025, at around 7:00 PM CEST.
When is the download available? The download of Destiny 2: The Edge of Fate has been available since 4:00 PM CEST.
Destiny servers offline for maintenance
Why are the servers offline? On July 15, 2025, at around 1:00 PM CEST, maintenance began on Destiny 2. Initially, login and game integration functions on web, mobile devices, third-party apps, and the Bungie Store were no longer available.
The downtime for Destiny started at 2:45 PM. The game’s servers were taken down and players were removed from activities.

However, the developers point out that some platforms require additional storage space during the download and installation process, and the specified file size may vary depending on installed languages.

At around 4:00 PM, the download for “The Edge of Fate” began. On Steam, the update is about 102 GB in size.
2:45 PM
The servers of Destiny 2 have been offline since 2:45 PM. All players who were in an activity before have been kicked out.
When will the maintenance end? The end of maintenance is scheduled for July 15 at 9:00 PM. The update has been available on all platforms since 4:00 PM.
From 7:00 PM, you should be able to log in to Destiny 2 and join a queue, but there is a possibility that login issues may still occur as the maintenance may not be complete yet. Clan features might also be offline at that time.
