A free PS4 theme is now available in the PlayStation Store to honor Cayde-6 from Destiny 2. You can download and install it now.
PS4 Guardians can prepare their console just before the release of the Forsaken expansion and design it accordingly. As the PlayStation Twitter account announced on the afternoon of September 3rd, you can now download and install a free PS4 theme.
This PS4 theme, which you can use to decorate the background of the PS4 menu, is based on this official Forsaken image:
What kind of design is this? It is a dynamic theme with the somewhat awkward name “Destiny 2: Forsaken – free dynamic Cayde-6 theme”.

The dead Cayde-6 lies in the arms of a Guardian. The scene takes place in the Reef. Dust particles fly from left to right across the image – that’s about the extent of the “dynamics” this theme offers. In the background, the new Forsaken music plays, which can also be heard in the main menu of Destiny 2 Forsaken.
According to PlayStation, you should pay your last respects to Cayde-6 by installing this theme on your gaming console.
How do I download the PS4 theme?
Here’s how to quickly get the theme on your PS4:
- Open the settings in the PS4 menu
- Scroll down to “Themes”
- Press “Select Theme”
- Scroll all the way down to “Find in the PlayStation Store”
- The Forsaken theme should be in the fourth row of search results if you sort by “Newest first”.

Is this the only Forsaken PS4 theme? If you preordered the Forsaken expansion, there is another Forsaken PS4 theme in your theme overview. However, this will only be unlocked on the evening of September 4th. It’s called “Destiny 2 Forsaken – Dynamic Theme” and shows the Hand Cannon in the preview. Therefore, it seems there will be one more theme in addition to the free Forsaken theme.
