In Destiny 2 , an early released offer in the PlayStation Store reveals more info about the new Season 11 and even the supposed release date of the upcoming autumn expansion.
This is about the leak: In Destiny 2, Season 10 ends with a bang and players are curious about how the next chapter of the MMO shooter will look. The Australian PlayStation Store is now satisfying the Guardians’ thirst for knowledge: it accidentally revealed new details about the future of Destiny and even the potential release date of the major expansion.
An available package with in-game currency (“Silver Bundle”) seems to have appeared too early in the Australian PS Store. The image used in the store and the content description provide insights into the new Season 11 and even beyond – to the new autumn expansion.
What is revealed? In the meantime, Sony has noticed the blunder and the package is no longer visible. However, players were able to secure this information:
- The English name of Season 11 is confirmed: “Season of Arrivals”. An in-game message recently revealed the German name – “Saison der Ankunft”
- There will likely be strange visitors – this is revealed through the description of an emote that is included as a bonus with the bundle purchase.
- It was initially suspected that the leak shows a new enemy race – however, it seems more likely that it is a Guardian in new armor performing the new emote.
- In the background, there are clearly Hive runes visible – this suggests the Hive as an important enemy of Season 11.
- The date for the autumn expansion is mentioned as September 22.
- Along with the expansion, Destiny 2 is expected to take up 105 GB on the PS4 hard drive (currently, the Shadowkeep expansion shows exactly the same required hard drive space in the PS4 store).
When will there finally be official information? Guardians won’t have to wait much longer, as Bungie is holding a big reveal stream this evening. Then we will know first-hand how Destiny 2 will proceed:
