In the MMO shooter Destiny , some of the new exotic weapons for The Taken King have been revealed with Patch 2.0.
Bad news upfront: Those who are browsing through Destiny’s databases looking for the new exotic weapons won’t find everything.
That’s because Bungie now has a new technique that allows them to hide certain items in the database. Game Director Luke Smith tweeted about this yesterday. Not everything is meant to be spoiled.
Alongside the 2.0 update we’ve also debuted new tech that lets us keep selected items out of the database. Can’t let folks spoil everything

For example, the “Sleeper Simulant” is not yet in the database, nor is it in our list. “Touch of Malice”, another exotic weapon, is also still unknown to us.
We will introduce you to the weapons on the following pages. However, these are likely to be available only from September 15, when “The Taken King” is released.
