After the destruction of the One Ring in the MMORPG The Lord of the Rings Online, the adventures continue with the “Bullroarer” update in the Old Forest.
The new update with version number 22 is currently on the test server and anyone who would like to check it out and provide feedback can do so. With this update, the developers show that the journey continues after the War of the Ring and the heroes must face new challenges.
The Old Forest Awaits!
This time, you will find yourselves in the Old Forest, which played a significant role in the novel The Hobbit. Here, the dwarves and Bilbo Baggins were attacked by giant spiders and ultimately captured by the Elvenking Thranduil before they could escape on barrels down the river towards Lake-town. However, you will experience these locations after the events of the War of the Ring, which has significantly changed the areas.
- A new Lake-town has been established after the dragon Smaug destroyed the old one
- The town of Dale has been resettled
- Trade is flourishing
- The kingdom under the mountain provides prosperity
- Changes are spreading across the land that not everyone is happy about
- The Old Forest has received the new name Eryn Lasgalen
You will explore both the forest of Eryn Lasgalen and the regions of Dale with Lake-town and the town of Dale. However, not everything seems to be right here. Where have the giant spiders of the forest disappeared to? Important goods are being stolen, and something dark is stirring in the forest … So expect new adventures in vast areas.
Adjustments and Improvements to the Game
Update 22 “Bullroarer” brings additional features and changes. These include:
- The lute as a new instrument
- Optimizations to Legendary Items
- Improvements to crafting and the UI
- Adjustments to skills and classes
An official release date for the new update of the MMORPG The Lord of the Rings Online will be announced once the beta has been thoroughly tested.
