The movie adaptation of Demon Slayer attracts many visitors to the big screen. However, some fans couldn’t enjoy the anime as they had hoped.
What a nasty surprise! The new film Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle was already shown in the USA before its German premiere. There was an unpleasant incident for some visitors that went viral on TikTok.
During the fight between Zenitsu and his opponent, a moviegoer reportedly relieved himself in the front row, where several fans were sitting at the time. Among those affected was reportedly a child.
The man allegedly stood up, opened his pants, relieved himself, and then simply sat down as if nothing had happened (see AZ Family).
The video that is circulating does not show the incident. Instead, we see how a man reacts to the public urinator, namely with punches. Afterwards, the room lights come on, the film is interrupted, and the moviegoers are asked to leave the theater.

What happened to the public urinator? As azfamily.com reports, the man who urinated was arrested around 11 PM local time. He now faces several charges, including indecent exposure, disorderly conduct, property damage, and failure to provide a correct name.
What happened to the fans? The cinema company is said to have been very accommodating. They reportedly offered visitors a refund as well as the option to continue watching the movie in another theater. Even with free snacks. Let’s just hope that no 4D effects like water splashes are used there.
What happened to the cinema? According to user Nito on TikTok, the affected rows are still reportedly blocked off. Some visitors had to move because of this. Likely, a thorough cleaning or replacement of the seats is still required.
Besides Demon Slayer, there is another anime coming to theaters in 2025. Hopefully, there won’t be another unpleasant incident. Which film it is and when it is being released in Germany can be found here: All anime coming to theaters in Germany in 2025
