One of the biggest horror games disappoints many on Halloween. Dead by Daylight has very little to offer for this special holiday.
Halloween is a golden time of year for horror fans. Therefore, corresponding horror games are expected to pull out all the stops for Halloween and host great in-game events. However, Dead by Daylight has only partially succeeded in this. Many players are disappointed with the event, and the lack of codes for the shop is causing frustration.
What is the Halloween event in Dead by Daylight? In Dead by Daylight, there is currently a Halloween event where players can:
- Earn a handful of new cosmetics through challenges.
- Destroy pumpkins that give some blood points and buffs or debuffs.
- Increase their earnings of blood points slightly through offerings.
In addition, there are various thematic items, such as flashlights that create a beam of light with a “ghost” symbol or med-kits in neon green color.
What do players want? Above all, more blood points. A multiplier for blood points is the biggest incentive for many players. This not only allows for more items such as offerings and perks to be purchased, but also provides an incentive to play new characters. Moreover, the grind for newcomers is extremely tough; they often need such a boost to get a foothold in the game.
Because the costs for unlocking all perks continue to rise with each patch as new perks are added.
Basically, the mood in the forums is rather negative. While it is acknowledged that the developers have tried some new things, the majority of people – at least in the Dead by Daylight subreddit – do not seem to be very satisfied. Many would have liked to see more, after all, Halloween is probably the most important day for horror franchises.

This is disappointing. For a game with horror legends, I would think they would make Halloween really special; it’s literally the season for this type of game.
However, some players also note that there was indeed something, such as the bonus blood points for logging in:
I believe we got a total of 967,698 blood points this year when adding the login bonus and blood point codes.
It is still very disappointing that we didn’t get a double blood point weekend and nothing on Halloween day. Maybe there is more when the event ends, but I wouldn’t count on that.
