The Legion killer in Dead by Daylight is getting massively nerfed. So much so that even some survivors feel sorry for him.
After long months of complaints, the developers of Dead by Daylight have finally announced how they want to adjust the killer “The Legion”. Radical nerfs are coming that will massively change his abilities. The opinions in the forums and on Reddit are clear – Legion does not deserve such heavy nerfs. Most players assume he will now be even weaker than Freddy Krueger.
What was Legion’s problem? Legion was a killer who was extremely unpopular from the launch. His mechanics did not promote fun gameplay but only caused frustration. He left survivors with little chance, but from the killer’s perspective, it was no great pleasure either, as matches always played out identically. A rework was therefore demanded, and it is now coming.
The changes to the killer “The Legion”
In general, there are three aspects of Legion that are to be changed. Thus, the killer as a whole will be reworked and his base values adjusted – here there are even slight improvements. Other aspects, such as his ability “Feral Frenzy” will be nerfed, as well as the effect “Deep Wounds” caused by his special attack.
Adjustments to Legion’s base values
- Legion’s movement speed will be increased to 4.6 meters per second (normal value for most killers)
- Legion’s terror radius will be increased to 32 meters
- Most of Legion’s addons have been reworked to correspond with the other changes
Changes to Feral Frenzy, Legion’s ability
- The charge time of Feral Frenzy has been increased, and the ability can only be used when it is fully charged.
- The duration of Feral Frenzy has been increased
- The movement speed during Feral Frenzy has been significantly reduced. Legion is still faster than normal, but not as fast as before the update.
- Legion can no longer see blood pools while Feral Frenzy is active (in addition to not being able to see scratch marks).
- Feral Frenzy will immediately and automatically cancel if Legion misses an attack while Feral Frenzy is active.
Changes to Deep Wounds, Legion’s debuff
- The timer of Deep Wounds no longer runs when you are within the killer’s terror radius, regardless of whether you are in a chase or not.
- The timer of Deep Wounds pauses while you are self-healing (“Mending”).
- The killer can no longer see the progress bar of Deep Wounds. He only sees which survivors are affected but not how far their bars have run down.
- The timer of Deep Wounds is no longer reduced by hits that occur during Feral Frenzy.
The community “mourns” Legion: In the community, the changes are being discussed. Although many fans are happy that Legion is being adjusted, they feel the changes are too harsh. Numerous memes are currently being created mourning Legion or mocking how the developers have gone too far this time.
In general, the mood has shifted. Just a few days ago, the unanimous opinion was that Legion was too strong and not fun (whether as a survivor or as a killer), but now many believe he does not deserve this fate.

What is now the problem? After the update, the consensus from the forums is that Legion is nearly unusable. His ability is no longer a tool to catch and kill survivors, but a burden that only makes him weaker. After all, many of the useful effects are gone. Without an active bleed timer within the terror radius, bleeding is no longer a danger. For many, Legion has become just a “standard killer” without a real ability.
