With the Killer Perks, the chance of catching survivors in Dead by Daylight increases!
Although the game is relatively new, there are already 48 perks in Dead by Daylight. These perks are upgrades with 3 levels each that remain permanently for your characters. You can read the respective level on the perk icon based on the stripes present – additionally, perks are divided into different rarity tiers.
The different Killer Perks at a glance
You gain new perk levels when your characters reach a new level – weaker perks are then automatically replaced by the new ones. Perks come in 6 different rarity tiers:
- 1: Brown (common)
- 2: Yellow (uncommon)
- 3: Green (rare)
- 4: Purple (very rare)
- 5: Magenta (ultra-rare)
- 6: Orange (teachable)
There are various items and add-ons that a killer can have in their inventory to improve their hunting success chances.
Trapper/Chuckles:
- Trapper Bag: You have an extra bear trap in a match.
- 4 Coil Spring Kit: Improves your bear trap with the following 4 attributes: 1. It becomes harder to escape from the trap. 2. The time to free oneself is increased. 3. The time to set up a trap is increased. 4. The effects apply to all traps equally.
- Serrated Jaws: Increases the bleeding of the victims until they are healed.
- Tar Bottle: Bear traps become harder to detect.
- Secondary Coil: Increases the time needed to sabotage bear traps.
- Longwood Dye: Bear traps become darkened.
Hillbilly:
- Rusted Chain: The healing time required for survivors injured by the chainsaw increases significantly.
- Chainsaw File: The volume of the chainsaw is slightly decreased.
- Vegetable Oil: Slightly reduces the cooldown time of the chainsaw.
Killer’s Special Perks in Dead by Daylight
In addition to this wide selection of perks, each killer has 3 special perks, designed to make it harder for survivors to escape. This allows you to break barricades more easily, resist stunning more, or track blood trails better.
Special Perks – Trappers:
- Unnerving Presence: Because the presence of the Trapper is so terrifying, the probability that survivors make mistakes while repairing or sabotaging increases.
- Brutal Strength: Increased strength allows the Trapper to destroy or break through obstacles more quickly.
- Agitation: You move faster when carrying bodies.
Special Perks – Hillbilly:
- Enduring: Because the Hillbilly is used to pain, he recovers faster from damage caused by objects.
- Lightborn: Due to impaired vision, he can resist stunning better.
- Tinkerer: Add-ons that reduce your cooldown time are more effective.
Special Perks – Wraith:
- Shadowborn: The Wraith’s eyes are trained because he lived in the dark for a long time – this allows you to see better but also makes you more susceptible to stunning.
- Bloodhound: You can now track blood trails almost anywhere because you can better sense the smell of blood.
- Predator: Footprints are visible longer and you can better perceive sounds and movements.
