As a killer in Dead by Daylight, even bad luck can lead to victory. He only wanted to reload his weapons – but the survivors prevent that.
In Dead by Daylight, it’s not always just hardcore action and suspense; sometimes it gets really absurd, and despite the dark theme, you just can’t help but laugh heartily. This also happened to the streamer Zearro. The match was far from over – but reloading made him win instantly.
What happened? The match for streamer Zearro was largely over. Two of the four survivors had already died, even though all generators had been repaired. The remaining survivors could have opened the gate and escaped.
However, Zearro only had 10 throwing knives left, which is why he decides to refresh his throwing knives at the next locker. As soon as he opens the door, he is surprised – because in the locker waits one of the two survivors, whom he can capture without a fight and hang up immediately.
Since finding the survivor did not refill the knives, Zearro then heads directly to the next locker to refresh the knives – only to be greeted once again by a survivor. Zearro stares in disbelief at the screen for a few seconds and then bursts out laughing in amusement.
Such luck is likely to be experienced by very few killers in Dead by Daylight.
Why does the killer need to reload? Most killers in Dead by Daylight do not need to reload. Only the two ranged killers “Huntress” and “Trickster” need to regularly go to lockers to refill their axes and throwing knives. This is actually a clear disadvantage for these killers, as refilling weapons costs valuable time during which the survivors can escape or hide.
Most survivors are also aware that it is particularly risky to hide in a locker against these killers for exactly this reason. Unlike other killers, Trickster and Huntress will eventually have to open lockers.
To happen to hit exactly the two lockers where the remaining survivors are hiding, just by sheer luck – that must occur very, very rarely.
