The latest killer from Dead by Daylight is here. Freddy Krueger brings dark abilities – he doesn’t let survivors escape!
A few days ago, it became clear that the developers of Dead by Daylight secured the license for “A Nightmare on Elm Street”. This means that the killer Freddy Krueger, who will be called “The Nightmare” in the game, joins the killers and murders for the Entity. The DLC has been live since yesterday evening (October 26, 2017)!
Freddy is an unusual killer, as he cannot attack survivors at the beginning of the game – they also cannot see him. He must first track them down and then use his ability “Dream Demon” on them. The survivors slowly fall asleep and are in a dream after 7 seconds.
- Only in the dream can survivors see the killer and be injured by him.
- Survivors in the dream perform all actions 50% slower.
- Survivors can wake up by being awakened by another “waking” survivor. Even being hooked wakes a survivor up.
Blood Warden blocks the exit for survivors
Like all killers, “The Nightmare” Freddy Krueger comes with 3 unique perks. At the beginning, these perks are only available to Freddy; those who wish to unlock them for other killers must either buy them deep from the blood web or hope they appear in the shrine.
- Fire Up – When survivors fully repair a generator, the killer gains a token. The tokens increase the speed of the killer’s following actions: lifting/dropping survivors, destroying pallets, destroying generators, climbing through windows.
- 2 tokens: 10% bonus speed
- 3 tokens: 12% bonus speed
- 4 tokens: 14% bonus speed
- Remember Me – A survivor becomes the killer’s obsession. Each time the killer hits the obsession with an attack, the duration of the “Open Gate” action for all survivors is extended by 5 seconds, up to a maximum of 30 seconds. The obsession is not affected by this extension.
- Blood Warden – Once per match: If at least one gate has been opened and the killer hangs a survivor, the exit gates for all survivors are blocked for 60 seconds. While this effect is active, the killer sees the auras of survivors in the exit area.
Also the new survivor Quentin Smith comes with 3 new perks.
- Wake Up! – Once all generators are repaired, the survivor sees the exit gates permanently. He can perform the “Open Gate” action 15% faster and while doing so, his aura is visible to all other survivors.
- Pharmacy – Chests are searched 80% faster and the sound radius of searching is reduced by 8 meters. When first searching a chest per match, you are guaranteed to find a medkit.
- Vigil – You and all other survivors within a radius of 8 meters recover 20% faster from status effects. This includes: Exhausted, Mangled, Hemorrhage, Hindered, and Blindness.
The DLC “A Nightmare on Elm Street” is available for €6.99 on Steam. The base game Dead by Daylight currently costs €9.99, as it is 50% off during the Halloween sale.
