Killers destroy generators, there are firecrackers and double blood points – the new patch for Dead by Daylight is here.
Players of Dead by Daylight had to wait almost 3 months for a new patch – but now it is finally here.
From today (February 17) until February 22, there are double blood points in Dead by Daylight for completing matches. Those who want to unlock many items should therefore frequently hook people on meat hooks or repair generators this weekend to benefit from the “Valentines Blood Hunt”. This way, new perks and items can be unlocked in no time.
The patch 1.4.0, which was only hours later replaced by update 1.4.1, changed numerous issues and adjusted the balancing of various perks. Above all, the popular “Machine Gun” combo from killers, where they could strike without significant delay, is no longer possible.
A new item for survivors is Chinese firecrackers. These can be found in-game for a limited time – either in chests or in the blood web. When used, small explosions occur that blind the killer. However, if one is not careful, it also blinds the survivors.
Killers can destroy generators
A popular strategy for survivors was to repair all generators to 99% to quickly finish the match – this has now become significantly more difficult. Killers are able to damage generators as long as they are not fully repaired. With a new action, they can reduce the progress of a generator by 25% over a period of 70 seconds. This “debuff” is applied through a 3-second action on the generator and is canceled if the repair is continued by a survivor.
Lastly, there is even a new map, a fresh variation of the “Autohaven Wreckers” map, called “Gas Heaven” – an old gas station, where only the gruesomest stories of the Entity take place now…
