Dead by Daylight is celebrating its 6th anniversary with plenty of rewards. We’ll show you how to unlock all bonuses.
A new in-game event is currently taking place in Dead by Daylight, the “Twisted Masquerade.” Here, Killers and Survivors can earn a variety of new cosmetic rewards, as well as new mission objectives and a ton of blood points for free. Those who do not take advantage of the time now have only themselves to blame.
Simply logging in for the first time during the event rewards every account with a whopping 600,000 blood points.
How do you unlock the masks? There are a total of 12 individual masks to earn for various characters. The way to obtain them is essentially the same, but there are slight differences between Survivors and Killers.
During the event, small pedestals spawn on each map, changing their location after a while. Whenever this happens, a special sound plays. Killers or Survivors can interact with the pedestal to receive an invitation to the masquerade ball. Once you’ve received it, that’s already the first requirement. Depending on your role, you then need to:
- As a Killer, you must end the match. It doesn’t matter how many kills you earn.
- As a Survivor, you need to survive until an escape route is opened. This can be the gate or the hatch. You do not need to escape; simply surviving until an escape route opens is enough.
But: if you are hanging on the hook at the moment the gate opens and die there, or you are already in the process of being murdered by the Killer, that does not count, and you will need to try again in the next round.
Which characters can get masks? There are a total of 12 different masks for the following characters:
- Trapper (Killer)
- Huntress (Killer)
- Trickster (Killer)
- Artist (Killer)
- Deathslinger (Killer)
- Spirit (Killer)
- Ace (Survivor)
- Yui (Survivor)
- Dwight (Survivor)
- Jane (Survivor)
- Elodie (Survivor)
- Mikaela (Survivor)
The mask you unlock is completely random. There is no correlation between the character played and the unlocked mask.
You can unlock all masks as a Killer or Survivor – or mix and match at will.
More cosmetics for new characters: Along with the masks, there are also new cosmetic rewards for the two freshest characters: the Killer Dredge and Haddie Kaur. Both can earn an exclusive cosmetic set in the temporary Tome. To do this, various challenges must be completed.
How long does the event last? A total of 2 weeks, from June 16 to June 30, 2022. The earlier you start with the tasks and unlocking the masks, the more relaxed you can simply farm blood points at the end of the event.
What else is there? In addition to the masks, there are also daily rewards just for logging in. Throughout the duration of the entire event, you can secure the following resources through daily login:
- 900,000 blood points
- 4,500 Shimmering Shards
- 35 Rift Fragments
Aside from that, most DLCs are currently discounted in price. So if you want to add one or more Killers to your collection, now is the time to act, as most chapters are currently available for around 4 euros.
