Dead by Daylight is an asymmetric horror game where a psychotic killer hunts a group of relatively defenseless survivors through a creepy landscape. All participants in this unequal hunt are players. The killer must find all survivors, take them out, and hang them on meat hooks in the name of a dark power, leaving them to die in agony. However, the survivors can outsmart the killer and rescue their teammates. Their goal is to escape the nightmare. Each killer has unique abilities and plays differently. Moreover, the killers are inspired by notorious horror figures from pop culture. Versions of Michael Myers and Freddy Krueger appear in the game, among others. Dead by Daylight impresses with its creepy, adrenaline-fueled atmosphere and the thrill that arises from the hunt or escape.
