The Xbox One has received a new MMO with DC Universe Online.
So far, the Xbox One has had a pretty thin landscape in the action MMO category. Besides The Elder Scrolls Online and Neverwinter, there hasn’t been much. Since Friday evening, with DC Universe Online, there is now another alternative. The action MMO has been successful on PC, PS3, and PS4 for several years. Since the development company separated from Sony in 2015, they were able to bring the superhero-and-supervillain spectacle to the Xbox One as well.
The download works through the Xbox Store. You can expect 34.62 gigabytes. There is no crossplay with PSN and PC; Xbox players have their own servers, so it starts from scratch.
The Xbox One version launches with all the content from the other versions: that includes the base game and additionally purchasable (or available through a subscription) episodes 1-23. The game receives fresh episodes monthly.
