Last week, the next expansion for DC Universe Online was unexpectedly announced. The new DLC is titled “Amazon Fury” – and you can believe us, there are Amazons in it! There will be a fierce catfight between Wonder Woman, her mother Hippolyta, and Circe… and a large-scale attack on Gotham City.
Now the developers of the addon are revealing the backstory of “Amazon Fury”: The conflict has its roots in the mistaken belief of Queen Hippolyta, who is convinced that Gotham City and its inhabitants are responsible for the chaos in her realm. She plans a large-scale attack on the peaceful little town, signaling the start of a time of war and death. As if that weren’t already bad enough, the people of the Amazons are divided over this dispute and are fighting each other. Surely countless questions are swirling in your minds, such as:
- Will the attack succeed in the new phasing zone “The Siege of Gotham”?
- Will Wonder Woman be able to stop her mother?
- How can we help the good and save Gotham City?
- And last but not least: Why on earth would you combine a blue thong with white dots to a red top??
If you prefer something more tearful after all that action, you should be looking forward to Parts 2 and 3, the Creative Director promises:
I can tell you one thing: It will be incredibly exciting and unbelievably shocking at the same time.
