The development studio Phoenix Labs has released the E3 trailer for the action-packed online RPG Dauntless, showcasing several new features.
In Dauntless, you live on the “Shattered Isles”, floating islands that are ruled by the dark Behemoths. These pose a significant threat to humanity, which has retreated to the city of Ramsgate. From there, brave heroes venture out to liberate the individual islands from the Behemoths. Each slain monster grants the player new power in the form of the Embermane resource, which can be transformed into powerful equipment by a blacksmith in the city.
The Hunt for a Snow Shrike
The spectacular E3 trailer shows you the gameplay mechanics once again with gameplay footage. The video also presents a snowy landscape for the first time. Each of the different islands features various climate zones, which are intended to make exploration diverse.
On the different islands, there live climate-appropriate monsters. The snow island is home to a white Shrike, which looks like an oversized snow owl.
New Class Chain Blades and the City of Ramsgate
The trailer also features the Chain Blades class, which has not been mentioned before. A Chain Blade quickly utilizes combo attacks to weaken the opponent. You also catch your first glimpses of the city of Ramsgate, which serves as a hub and retreat. In Ramsgate, you meet other players, can craft and equip yourself, and take on new missions that will lead you to the individual islands, which you reach by airship.
The action RPG Dauntless is currently in an alpha phase. However, the test does not occur continuously but rather intermittently on specified days. If you want to participate, you can sign up for the alpha on the official website or purchase one of the founder packs.
